> Technical Competence of members are constantly monitored and reviewed by the FPA Committee and any issues are reported and remedial action sought.
> Ethical Practice is a top priority of all manufacturers and suppliers to industry and members of the public alike and the FPA’s role is to ensure a forum for feedback on the performance of it’s members and products.
> The British Standards Institute are working closely with the FPA to develop appropriate standards for the products and services offered by it’s members. A number of the FPA members have already successfully achieved Kite Mark accreditation for their products. The FPA promote a continuation of this process and are working to ensure appropriate standards are set for the diverse variety of products.
> The Environment Agency are the main focus for flood risk management in the UK and in conjunction with the FPA and the National Flood Forum (www.floodforum.org.uk) promote public awareness and self help by organising exhibitions that demonstrate products available to local authorities and the public at large; schedule for such events are shown on the National Flood Forum website under “calendar of flood fairs “ and at the “news” section on this web page.
